Primary Responsibilities of a Process Engineer

• Apply engineering principles to safely process propellants, pyrotechnics, and/or explosives for product development or improvement, ensuring compliance with program requirements

• Develop new tooling, processes, and techniques to enhance manufacturing capabilities and efficiency

• Document and maintain all process documentations, including but not limited to: Bill of Materials, Process Flows, Work Instructions, etc.

• Responsible for tooling design and documentation by applying working knowledge of product design and assembly to the manufacturing process

• Understanding and experience in Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design of Experiments (DOE), Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Process Hazard Analysis (PHA)

• Develop robust processes for failure analysis and drive continuous improvement

• Lead and participate in current and future product and facility development projects

• Coordinate and perform all necessary validation and / or process engineering evaluations as needed for manufacturing equipment

• Deliver oral presentations summarizing progress on selected projects and programs to both internal and external stakeholders

• Provide technical support and training to Engineering Technicians involving them on current and future project activities

• Estimate labor, equipment, and material requirements for production work and development projects

Required Experience & Skills of a Process Engineer

• Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.

• Minimum four years’ experience with propellants, pyrotechnics and/or explosives in manufacturing preferred.

• Minimum two years’ Experience in manufacturing or process engineering, preferably in composite propellant manufacturing or a related industry

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and requirements for composite propellant and propellant-loaded devices or industry-relevant experience preferred

• A working knowledge of energetic material regulations and safe handling/measurement

• Familiarity with Program Management, Supply Chain, Operations, Research and Development, and Product Engineering processes

• 3D modeling and 2D drafting experience. 0-3 years

• Capable of performing assembly stack up analysis

• Disciplined in organization with meticulous attention to detail

• Ability to obtain approval through ATF to handle Nammo products and information

+ Responsible for overall project delivery (cost, schedule, quality, information, contracts) on a single or multiple project assignments

**Here’s what you’ll need** :

+ Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline OR 15 years of experience in the same field in lieu of this degree

+ At least fifteen years of experience in Design-Build of water, wastewater, water resources and/or conveyance type work.

+ Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect license/certification preferred.

*Providing support with inspection of WTP/WWTP site-civil construction, including inspection of water piping, sewerage, and drainage system installation, earthwork and grading operations, cathodic protection, and paving

*Monitoring progress and execution of workplans by civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing subcontractors

*Verifying compliance of aforementioned subcontractors work scope with contract requirements, codes, standards, approved shop drawings, manufacturer recommendations, and other requirements

*Reviewing subcontractor’s workplans and daily quality control reports

*Being on the Site at all times when construction is occurring during performance of Design-Build Work, with complete authority to take any action necessary to ensure conformance with the requirements of the approved Design Documents

*Immediately stopping any portion of the Design-Build Work that does not comply with requirements of the approved Design Documents, and direct the removal, correction or replacement of any defective Design-Build Work

*Certifying weekly that all Design-Build Work performed, on and off the construction site, conforms to requirements of the approved Design Documents. Certify weekly that all materials and equipment delivered or installed in the Design-Build Work comply with the requirements of the approved Design Documents. Report any deficiencies and corrective action planned and taken

*Ensuring that Company’s onsite Design-Build staff is adequately staffed with qualified personnel to perform all required roles and responsibilities with the project organizational chart

Jacobs is seeking a radio frequency engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals supporting the Defense Information Systems Agency Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) Test, Evaluation, and Certification (TEC) contract at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. The selected candidate will join the Radio Test Facility (RTF) Engineering and Lab Support standards conformance and interoperability test team to support the functional areas of High Frequency (HF) Communications, Ultra High Frequency (UHF) Satellite Communications (SATCOM) and Very High Frequency (VHF)/UHF Line of Sight (VULOS) Communications capabilities.

Work to be performed on-site supporting a secure stand-alone test facility. Remote work is not possible.

The selected candidate will:

* Provide subject matter expertise on technical issues and test activities relevant to current and future RTF capabilities. Provide recommendations on relevant testing or necessary modifications to maintain a system.

* Evaluate and modify existing RTF test plans and procedures. Investigate new ways of testing requirements to increase efficiency or accuracy. Procedure updates include necessary changes to ensure total requirement inclusion, accurate test methodology, suitable test configurations, repeatability, testability, requirement traceability, and accurate data collection.

* Develop new test plans and procedures to sustain the RTF mission.

* Execute test equipment configuration and functionality checks for new and existing capabilities. Document equipment configuration utilizing standardized processes including diagrams and labeling.

* Provide engineering assistance and troubleshooting guidance to the test team during test setup and execution, as well as Unit Under Test (UUT) performance deficiencies, system failure root cause analysis, and impact statements for unmet or untested criteria. Troubleshooting includes test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE), UUT hardware and software, RF components, cables, and signal flow.

* Recommend equipment, facility or capability for upgrade, replacement, or discontinuation associated with the RTF modernization effort.

**Here’s what you’ll need** :

Requires a Doctorate and at least 4 years of experience or a Master’s degree and at least 10 years of experience. Relevant technical degrees include Physics, Operations Research, Computer Science, and Mathematics. Curriculums in other various engineering and science disciplines may be considered. Related certifications in the area of specialization may be substituted for 1 year of experience. Experience must be related to the job duties.

* This position requires an active Secret security clearance on hire date.

* T&E experience associated with radio communications and RF engineering concepts to include but not limited to basic radio components/design, RF Power, RF modulation techniques, interleaving/encoding, RF TMDE, and RF related test measurements. Electromagnetic interference and electromagnetic compatibility experience is desired.

* Possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment and organize work assignments to meet established timetables.

* Quality oral and written communication skills, with the ability to write and present complex issues in a clear, concise, and easily understood manner.
