    The Distribution Supervisor will provide floor leadership and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of production department. He/she will conduct all supervisory responsibilities concerning the hiring, training, counseling and discipline, performance appraisal, assigning and prioritizing all work for subordinates. He/she will ensure all devices within the department are process accurately according to shipping demand, maintain a high level of quality. He/she will communicate effectively by providing appropriate feedback and direction to staff, he/she will support other departments as needed. The Distribution supervisor will supervise employees in a manufacturing environment; implement policies, procedures, recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and work conditions.

    + Direct daily/weekly staffing requirements in order to control overtime costs

    + Communicate with Distribution Team involving daily activities to maintain efficient operations

    + Lead team meeting or “huddles” where appropriate to provide operation direction and departmental/company communications

    + Identify and resolve problems by creating a formal improvement process as a result; raise to senior management where appropriate

    + Develop and execute project improvement initiatives set by senior leadership

Responsibilities include but are not limited to, expense and revenue management, compliance with government regulations, management and direction to delivery staff and safety and security of the delivery department.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Handles the daily work and safety of Delivery supervisors, routing personnel and other associates.

    + Ensures that management staff is effectively managing the day to day delivery activities, including but not limited to Delivery Associate adherence to standard operating procedures, adherence to planned routes, and providing safe and efficient customer service.

    + Assures Delivery Associate compliance with local, state and federal regulatory agencies (i.e. DOT, OSHA, etc.) and ensures that electronic logs are kept current and accurate.

    + Manages labor hours, travel, fuel, and consumable supplies within budget, maximizing time and cost efficiencies.

    + Prepares work schedules including extra work days and shifts as needed.

    + Oversees the proper selection, purchase, and utilization of company assets in support of the Delivery department.

    + Coordinates required repairs with proper departments as necessary.

    + Communicates with Sales Management and Marketing Associates to collaboratively resolve any customer or delivery opportunities or issues.

    + Visits customer locations and meets with customers to address issues and assess delivery difficulty.

    + Establishes the use and updating of productivity and routing software systems.

    + Preserves associate relations through regular department or pre-shift meetings.

    + Maintains on-going interaction.

    + Keeps open communication channels with associates by answering questions and explaining policies and procedures.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education

    Experience

    + 1-3 years' related experience and/or training.

    + Valid Class A Commercial Driver License meeting company standards.
