    Position Description

    The City of Tolleson is seeking experienced individuals interested to join our Parks and Recreation Department as Recreation Program Specialist. This role involves delivering high-quality recreational programming for the City. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, scheduling, directing, coordinating, and supervising a diverse range of recreation programs such as After School and Summer Recreation Programs, Community Events, Exercise and Adult Sports, Volunteer Programs, Youth Sports Programs, and other related activities. Additional duties include planning, promoting, and presenting special events, competitions and various activities at parks and recreational facilities. Candidates should be prepared to take on other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the Parks and Recreation Department.

    Qualifications

    High School Diploma or GED and Three (3) years of related experience in assigned area of responsibility; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. The ability to lead a recreation/afterschool program such as arts & crafts or sport activities.
