    **Position Purpose:**

    The Mobile Service Technician (MST) is responsible for maintenance and repairs on light construction equipment (skid steers, chippers, trenchers, mini-excavators, etc.) at The Home Depot stores or customer job sites in the vicinity. The MST makes routine visits to each store to inspect all equipment, document the status of each unit, perform all required preventive maintenance, and complete work orders for maintenance and repairs.     **Key Responsibilities:**

    + 10% Communication - Trains Home Depot store associates and customers in the proper operation of the equipment and large equipment operating procedures. Adhere to all safety requirements particular to equipment including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations

    **Job Duties**

    + Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair Crown and all other makes of lift trucks.

    + Perform all assigned planned maintenance on customer lift trucks.

    + Maintain a service van and its inventory.

    + Process paperwork after completion of each job.

    **Minimum Qualifications**

    + Less than 2 years related experience

    + High school diploma or equivalent

    + Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to safely operate lift trucks.

    **Preferred Qualifications**

    + Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes, knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and hydraulics and internal combustion engines, and the ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.

    + Good written/verbal communication and customer care skills.

    + Technical degree, previous lift truck repair, welding experience, and knowledge of various types of testing equipment preferred.

    + Familiar with tools and equipment such as common hand tools, electrical/air tools, torch, arc welder and various types of testing equipment.

    + Industry related training is preferred

    + Ability to read and understand service manuals, plan, and follow-through
