    Primary Function:
    The Electronics Technician performs installation of emergency lighting systems package and emergency radio systems on light, medium, and heavy equipment. The incumbent may also support other fleet technicians, including the Parts Specialist with tasks on an as needed basis.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
    • Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
    • Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
    • EVT L-1 Law Enforcement Vehicle Installation certification must be obtained within two (2) years of appointment to position.
    • Class B CDL with tanker endorsement must be obtained within two (2) years of appointment to position.
    • Forklift certification must be obtained within one (1) year of appointment to position.
    • Must possess basic complement of mechanics tools.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • 2 years of Public Safety automotive/heavy truck parts-related work experience.
    • 2 years of radio and emergency lighting installation experience.
    • Successful completion of Automotive Technology and/or Business Administration courses at a trade school, college, or university recognized by the US Department of Education.

    This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR).     **Pay Details:** $25.00 per hour
