As a Power Systems Maintenance Specialist, you will analyze, plan, and administer Power System Protection and Communication Maintenance programs and resources and advises the Desert Southwest Customer Service Region (DSW), Protection and Communication Maintenance Office Manager. **This is not a remote position. The selectee will be required to be physically present at the Phoenix, AZ duty location.** Responsibilities As a Power Systems Maintenance Specialist you will: Develop assigned project, resource, and management plans. Prepare cost estimates, budget requests, open and close work orders associated with maintenance projects. Track all project costs and prepare and provide various project reports. Monitor, analyze, and evaluate Protection and Communication program objectives, resources, cost accounting, and budget execution. Prepare budget estimates, program development documents, BIDDS reporting, and sole-source procurement justifications for materials, supplies, and equipment. Prepare the Division budget for submission, track and analyze budget projections in relationship to actual expenditures, and prepare special reports indicating the actual status of monies by fund, organization, and object class, for each direct and indirect project. Coordinate, direct and be responsible for records management of various maintenance programs. Participate as a maintenance representative with other agencies and/or utilities in the joint development or technical review of items such as, but not limited to, utility industry work standards, performance, and indices. Serve as a budget liaison for the division; and compile future budget projections and operational data to ensure that adequate cost data is maintained to provide a sound basis for budget execution. Accurately and effectively communicate subject matter with a variety of individuals to resolve questions and/or program issues, verbally and/or in writing.     This is the entry level position. The Machine Operator will operate blow-mold, grinders, trimmer machines and conveyor systems. Role is responsible for troubleshooting process problems and performing minor maintenance to ensure continued operation of the production line. Ability to accomplish staff studies relative to the acquisition of new and/or changing workloads and implement new or changed procedures. Ability to evaluate and analyze required MAJCOM reports applicable to the organization for conformance, effectiveness, and methods improvement in preparation utility and application validity prior to submission. Ability to develop and implement additional programs and informational products which enhance the ability of the Center to improve and validate future programming and work loading. Knowledge of a variety of aircraft systems and their complexity sufficient to define problems, identify the best approach, and plan projects for which there are no standard data available and for which there is little precedent experience.
