About the Role:
The CNC Programmer is located at our Mesa, AZ office and will be reporting to our Director of Operations. The CNC Programmerwill develop or modify, new or existing programs for different machines. During the manufacturing process, they will perform quality checks with the machine operator to ensure the program is producing parts according to specifications, making adjustments as necessary. What you'll do:
+ Create programs related to production activities as required for varied materials and machines
+ Support shop floor personnel in trouble-shooting process and/or quality problems
+ Research and develop best practices for processes as determined by current machine capabilities and materials. Establish feeds, speeds, cycle times and other operating parameters
+ Review and understand machine operating conditions, Maintenance tasks and cadence, and support machine operators as required
+ Assist in the design of products to develop "Design for Manufacturing" parts and processes
+ Identify and implement cost reductions through plant manufacturing operations
+ Interact and Convert 3D models into flat patterns for CNC Cutting on various machines
+ Work with Engineering to review Designs for Manufacturing, and assist Shop Personnel as required
+ Other duties and responsibilities as required.
What we're looking for:
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ 2+ Years Experience of industry related manufacturing technologies, processes, methods, machining, assembly and company operations, product lines and practices or equivalent

Position Summary

Responsibilities
+ Knowledgeable of safety standards for equipment and demonstrate safe behaviors at all times.

Minimum Qualifications
+ Minimum of 2 years' machine shop with grinding experience.
+ High school diploma or GED required.
+ Must be able to read and write English.
+ Basic understanding of machine shop theory and procedures, shop mathematics.
+ Experience reading technical drawings and work instructions.
+ Some experience with measuring & inspecting parts.
+ While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to bend, squat, sit, stand, walk, and handle objects. The employee is occasionally required to push/pull and reach above shoulder level. The employee must be able to carry/lift up to 40 pounds and be able to rotate item being handled.

Model Shop Machinist
Duties/Responsibilities:
+ Must have firsthand knowledge of the manufacturing capabilities in milling, turning, grinding, heat-treating, brazing, and general shop math.
+ Required to work from drawings or prints or to do precision work and will be partly or fully engaged in setting up and operating the following machines and engage in these disciplines: Lathes, CNCM and CNCL, milling machines, precision grinding machines, saws, heat-treatment of tool steels, basic fixture design with little or no engineering assistance, and basic shop math skills that will allow for advanced master programming of CNC controlled machines.
+ Must have knowledge of on the fly fixture design and OEM detail procurement is optimum, even though most of the fixtures will be designed by engineering and the details will be procured to engineering specifications. There will be occasions when a quick turn fixture will need to be produced without engineering assistance.
+ Must have the aptitude to learn, take instructions well and needs to take a natural mechanical and problem-solving ability.
+ Must have knowledge with CNCM tool room machines which have CNC controls
+ Must be able to adapt to semi-conventional machine tools.
+ Mastercam Programing experience is a plus.
Required Skills/Abilities:
+ Three years minimum Job in Aerospace industry.
+ Fixture and tooling design.
+ Geometric tolerance skills, certification of specialized class participation preferred.
+ People skills using good grammar, cordialness, ability to converse with internal customers.

Introduction:
We are seeking a Shop Machinist to join our Repair Center team. You will be responsible for operating machines to ensure all parts and products meet quality standards through precise measurements and inspections. The qualified candidate must ensure that all operating procedures are carried out in such a way as to be compliant with Metso specifications, all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements, customer satisfaction, and legal requirements.
In this position, you will report to the Manager, Service Center Mesa.
This position is located in Mesa, AZ and will have little to no travel involved, however, may involve up to 5% of travel.
What you'll do:
+ Work in collaboration with Machine Shop Manager and other Repair Center Management to ensure projects are tracked for completion.
+ Keep Repair Center Lead apprised of assembly status and escalates issues.
+ Operate and maintain CNC/Manual machines, lathes, mills, and other heavy equipment.
+ Determine and establish methods and working processes for the most specialized and complex jobs.
+ Control the quality of all work done and effectively communicate with QA/QC Personnel.
+ Formulate all working procedures used for optimizing the quality of work and efficiency. Consult with fellow employees, contractors, and consultants to resolve maintenance issues and develop ways to improve equipment utilization and efficiencies.
+ Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
+ Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery.
+ Perform minor and major repair of projects received at the Repair Center to include all facets of large and small mining machinery.
+ Maintain equipment to ensure best reliability and performance.
+ Completes required work and safety reports.

Who you are:
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ Experience as a Machinist in the heavy equipment, manufacturing, or mining industry.
+ Prior repair experience with mining process equipment would be ideal
+ Ability to assess situations and problems, ability to detect technical discrepancies.
+ Observes safety regulations and exhibits a high concern for safety.
+ Must have knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, use, repair, and maintenance; knowledge of design techniques and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
+ Ability to use precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, pi tapes, scales, etc. proficiently.
+ Understand mechanics of precision bearings, bushings, gearing as well as heating and cooling of components for disassembly and assembly of work.

most complex and difficult jobs. Works from blueprints, sketches, planning sheets, verbal
instructions, and/or engineering, tooling, or equipment information. Contributes to lean

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• May run multiple machines efficiently, which may require simultaneous operations. Adapts or improvises tooling to accomplish results where operations require a broad knowledge of production machining technology, operating skills, and shop techniques together with diversified experience.

• Interprets customer requirements from blueprints, complex drawings, engineering specifications, quality directives, charts, tables, sketches, and verbal instructions.
• Interfaces with engineering to resolve drawing errors, suggest design changes, and solve product/process problems.
• Implements manufacturing methods using standard production machines, materials, and tooling.
• Develops and defines processes with limited documentation, as required.
• Trouble shoots and resolves machining problems.
• Responsible for machining and checking parts to maintain a high level of quality and efficiency.

**Job Summary:**
Machinist with micro-machining experience primarily with aluminum. Manual operations using Bridgeport knee mill. Machining operation requires the use of magnification visor/ eye loop / low power microscope to validate drawing compliance. Responsibilities also include fabrication of prototype tooling and product modifications, repairs and rework. Work environment requires standing for extended periods of time, and the ability reach and lift 50lbs. overhead on occasions.
**Essential Functions:**
+ Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and veneer calipers
+ Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders
+ Measure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers
+ Set up, adjust, and operate all of the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools to perform precision machining operations
+ Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials into machines
+ Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process
+ Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, and engineering information to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to fabricate products, and determine product dimensions and tolerances
+ Select the appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work
+ Lay out, measure, and mark metal stock to display placement of cuts
+ Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions and to determine need for adjustments or repairs
+ Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor or management
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Experience: Minimum of 4 years of training involving both on-the-job experience and informal training with experienced workers.
+ Knowledge: Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology
+ Skills/Abilities: Ability to control operation of equipment or systems; Strong analytical skills, possesses the ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong; Strong oral and written communication skills; The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.
+ Education/Certification: High School diploma or equivalent required.
