Overview
Community Options, Inc is a nationwide nonprofit organization that provides supports to individuals with Developmental Disabilities such as intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, and epilepsy. Many of the individuals we serve also have co-occurring medical and mental health conditions such as pica, Prader Willi, diabetes, mood disorders, and impulsive disorder, etc. We provide employment services, day services, attendant care, respite care, habilitation, and residential services.
Community Options believe in the dignity of every person, and in the freedom of all people to experience the highest degree of self-determination. Embracing this philosophy, we provide housing and employment opportunities for people with disabilities. Community Options programs incorporate the gentle teaching philosophy, a way of educating and supporting individuals that promotes trusting relationships. Community Options utilizes person-centered support staff who promote the physical and emotional well-being of individuals we support.
Community Options participates in the community and does different events. There is 5k Cupid Chase that happens every February to help raise awareness for people with developmental disabilities and all proceeds stays here locally.
Community Options seeks candidates who want to make a difference in the lives of others. Must be 18 years or older, valid drivers license, high school diploma or GED. No experience necessary we provide training and development opportunities.
Application is on line Recruiting coordinator will reach out to the candidate and conduct an interview. Once hired, recruiting coordinator will assist with the onboarding process. Depending on the candidate and where they are placed there will be an orientation of the home and the individuals we support.
