**Microsoft’s Customer Innovation Group** is expanding the capabilities of ourInnovationStudio andarelooking forpassionate and skilled people to lead ourcreativejourneyto transform business with emerging technologies. Our team works in tight collaboration with external customers, enterprise, and commercial partners helping to craft innovative solutions that leverage the full span of Microsoft’s services and technology. We ideate exciting never-seen-before experiences and quickly build working prototypes on top of developing tech. We transformour ideas into reality, from concept, through prototyping, to final implementation.

We are seeking a Senior Engineering Lead to perform the critical role of partnering with external clients and internal teams to create innovative and impactful experiences. The right candidate will enjoy problem solving, have a stellar track record of delivering technical solutions and will love to learn and tackle new challenges including building and managing the right team, creating goals for them to execute against, and delivering a high quality product. **This role engages with every discipline including art, design, dev, test, and business, as well as being part of the leadership team developing the overall strategy for team, client, and product success.** The ability to move tactically in this competitive and ever-evolving environment, and never losing sight of the goal, is our key to finding innovative impact. You should be enthusiastic about applying your development talents and iterating on prototypes to discover what works best, then leveraging your knowledge to create incredible software products. Finally, the candidate should be comfortable with cutting-edge technologies, as well as beta hardware and software and cloud-based solutions.


+ Managers deliver success through empowerment and accountability by modeling, coaching, and caring.

+ Leverages subject matter expertise of product experiences to improve end-to-end customer experiences.

+ Proactively builds strategic partnerships with internal teams and external industry partners.

+ Collaborates with cross-functional and/or cross-organizational stakeholders (e.g., engineering, product, design) to enhance customer and product experiences.

+ Fosters efficiencies and communication across projects and teams.

+ Manage the technical expectations from the client, and proactively address any concerns through clear communication channels; you are the technical ambassador.

+ Lead by example with a hands-on engineering approach and are confident and comfortable presenting ideas to customers and partners.

You actively seek out, accept, and provide feedback from peers. You are a leader across the studio fostering a feedback and growth mindset culture that enables the studio to constantly learn and improve


+ Degree - BA/BS (or equivalent) in Computer Science or related field.

+ Experience with cross-organizational / cross-group development spanning multiple organizational structures.

+ Products - An excellent track record of professional development experience in C# and/or C/C++ with multiple shipped products, with at least one as a lead engineer or technical director.

+ Experience working through a complete product cycle (from initial design through post-release sustainment).

+ Engine - Demonstrated hands on experience with modern game engines such as Unity, Unreal, or equivalent.

+ Problem Solving - Strong problem-solving and algorithm development skills.

+ Experience designing and building cloud solutions for enterpirse customers and an understanding of the latest trends in cloud computing.

+ Communications - Strong verbal and written communication skills.

+ Leadership - Demonstrated technical leadership experience with the proven ability to lead, mentor and inspire a team.


The salary range for this role based in Colorado is from $148,000 to $242,600. At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
