Our work depends on a Jr. Engineer/Computer Scientist joining our team to support Federal Health activities in Washington, DC.

This work serves as an opportunity to further VA’s long-standing tradition as a pioneer in medical innovation and VHA’s journey towards excelling as a learning organization by offering VHA, and the Office of Healthcare Innovation and Learning, the availability to augment its ongoing design, development and testing efforts around healthcare innovation.
We need a strong software development individual to join and help lead the team in the development area. You will be expected to perform at a Junior level in Web Application Development.
What you will need:
+ Bachelor's Degree with at least 6 years' job related experience
+ Demonstrated experience translating user requirements in a healthcare setting
+ Has extensive expertise in one or more of the following technology areas:
+ object-oriented analysis and design
+ Client/server technology
+ UNIX and C/C++ Organization intranets
+ Web application development
+ Security architectures 25 and policies
+ Graphical application development environments
+ CASE tools
+ Networking to support distributed applications
+ Distributed DBMSs
+ MVS and MVS utilities
+ Other major OS environments
+ Fourth-generation languages and environments. previous experience as technical lead for moderately complex projects.
