Responsibilities Job Summary Application Development Architect III acts as the principal architect. He leads the Application Development Architects and delivers the design and strategy for the organization. The ICP Application Development Architect III is responsible for the overall oversight of software applications and the development architecture. The role will collaborate with internal stakeholders and application development teams to implement and monitor application development and document application development process. Thoroughly understands the application and system landscape to architect, design and develop solutions to address business needs or concerns. The Application Development Architect III is also responsible for staying up to date on technology advancements and being part of potential vendor selection processes. This may involve collaborating with the vendors, identifying and validation through proof-of-concept solutions (POC) as well as acting as a technical point of contact for the product and project managers. Application Development Architect III aligns with ICP leadership to strategize future roadmaps and designs solutions to support business innovation and growth. Application Development Architect III, as subject matter expert, validates solutions architected by Application Development Architect I & II Provides technical oversight and support to projects during the vision and strategy, architecture, and development phases. Reviews production issues and recommend solutions/strategies to mitigate them. Works closely with the development, infrastructure, and other IT teams to assist with the technical solutions. Create Product roadmaps and strategies based on the leadership vision. Understand, document, and monitor application layering dependencies (user interface, deployment, public interface, application domain, application infrastructure, technical frameworks, and platforms) and application component dependencies. Creates documentation and diagrams that represent the current technical architecture of the various technology systems as well as high-level and detailed technical designs or roadmaps and specifications for the future. Working closely with the ICP Leadership to develop strategies to mitigate risk, reduce technical debt and improve reliability of the solutions. Reviews and conducts technical research, testing, evaluation and documentation of complex application development architectures and their interdependencies with other applications/vendors. Develops and designs complex multi-tier web applications based on the project requirements and functional specifications. Also participate in brainstorming and deriving solutions for the business needs. Evaluates new technologies and software products to determine feasibility and desirability of incorporating their capabilities into ICP applications. Acts as a technical liaison between third party vendors and ICP to procure, develop and/or integrate their applications into internal applications. Undertakes proof-of-concepts to vet out third-party products. Defines application development standards and specifications. Creates audit process validate the adherence of the standards by the development teams. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related engineering fields or 4 years’ experience in related field Required Experience 8 years Experience in technical architecture analysis and design, development and implementation of custom built as well as vendor developed/managed applications. Experience in PHP technology frameworks such as Symfony, Laravel etc., as well as database technologies like Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL. Required 5 years Leading teams and mentoring as an Application Development Architect Required
