WHAT YOU WILL DO:
As the CNC Lathe Machinist, responsibilities will include but may not be limited to:
- Requires the ability to follow written instructions and read blueprint specifications or equivalent.
- Set up, operate, and adjusts semi-automatic or automatic numerically controlled machine tools to perform standard and repetitive sequence of operations.
- Requires knowledge of operations including drilling, boring and milling, turning, etc., employing recognized tooling and procedures and where tolerances are close, but not difficult to maintain.
- Operators may run more than one unit simultaneously.
- Must be able to check parts for conformance to specifications.
- Maintain, implement, and improve 5-S Principles.
- Perform regular department housekeeping duties as necessary.
- Sustain production standards and quality.
- Recognizes, deploys, and properly uses inserts, fixtures, and tooling
- Performs daily and regular cleaning and light machine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as required.

ABOUT YOU:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 5+ year related training or work experience.
- Knowledge of machining techniques and methods
- Familiarity with setting up and running 3 and 4 axis CNC lathes
- Ability to read & follow verbal & written work instructions in the English language.
- Requires the ability to follow written instructions and read blueprint specifications
- Able to operate and adjust semi-automatic or automatic numerically controlled machine tools to perform standard and repetitive sequence of operations where programs are provided, and setups are often made and maintained by others.
- Must be able to check parts for conformance to specifications.
- Be a team player who can perform in a fast-paced environment with sense of urgency.
- Quality oriented with a hands-on personality, “do it right the first time” personality.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, time management and follow-up skills.

- Ability to complete tasks within a timely manner.
- Ability to work individually and handle multitasking.
- Ability to take instructions and communicate instructions as needed.
- Manual dexterity skills required.
