**Administrative Assistant - Cardiology Services**

**St. John’s Regional Medical Center**

**St. John’s Regional Medical Center** is seeking a highly organized and efficient **Administrative Assistant** to join our dynamic Cardiology team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to the cardiologists and staff, ensuring the smooth operation of the department.

**Responsibilities**

+ Manage physician schedules, including appointments, meetings, and conferences.

+ Prepare and maintain patient charts, including medical records, test results, and correspondence.

+ Answer phones, schedule appointments, and handle patient inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.

+ Process insurance claims and billing statements accurately and efficiently.

+ Prepare presentations, reports, and other documents as needed.

+ Maintain office supplies and equipment.

+ Perform other administrative tasks as assigned.

**Qualifications**

+ High School education.

+ Completion of course work in basic computer programs and administrative skills.

+ Minimum of 4 years of increasingly responsible clerical experience reporting to a management level position.

+ Minimum of 5 years of cardiology related experience is preferred.

+ Ability to type 45 wpm.

+ Excellent grammar, writing and communication skills.

+ Demonstrated proficiency in Medical Terminology and Anatomy and Physiology as well as familiarity with laboratory tests and values.

+ Demonstrated knowledge of ICD-9-CM and CPT Classification and the ability to apply knowledge to complex records

**This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.**

**Pay Range**

$25.88 - $32.44 /hour
