**Description**

Semi-skilled employees, with basic skills in industrial maintenance activities. Perform routine and non-routine maintenance activities on large ore processing equipment. Will perform maintenance activities independently, with minimal supervision, or support journeymen in their maintenance activities.

+ Perform routine maintenance activities on processing equipment

+ Complete Work Orders and other maintenance documentation

+ Troubleshoot equipment problems

+ Other tasks as assigned

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Qualifications**

+ One (1) year in Trade **or** a combination of education and experience in industrial mechanical repair and maintenance

+ Proficiency in welding/cutting

+ Must have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required aptitude. The selected candidate shall demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and skills while also passing a written assessment where required. This exam is based on skills/abilities and/or academic knowledge; as well as safety.

**Preferred**

+ High School diploma or GED

+ One (1) or more years of continuous, stable work experience

+ Experience in a mining environment

+ Experience in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic applications

+ Minimum personal tools as described by department tool list

**Criteria/Conditions**

+ Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English

+ Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards

+ Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment

+ Personal protective equipment is required on a regular basis, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toed boots, protective clothing, gloves and other protective equipment

+ Employee will be required to work in environments which may include exposure to extreme temperatures and humidity

+ While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, and work on elevated platforms

+ Occasionally may be required to lift up to fifty (50) pounds during the course of the work day

+ May be required to work rotating shifts in a 24/7/365 operation

**What We Offer You **

The estimated pay range for this role is currently **$22.50 - $30.00/hour** . This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors.
