Machinist - Level 3

As a Machinist - Level 3 here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in operating and maintaining various machines to produce precision parts and components. Your expertise in machining processes and equipment will ensure that our manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently, meeting quality standards and production goals. You will report directly to our Facilities Maintenance Manager and you'll work out of our Freeport, Il location on an on-site day shift work schedule.

In this role, you will impact our production capabilities by operating and maintaining machines, such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders, to produce high-quality parts. You will work with blueprints, specifications, and other technical documents to set up and operate machines, ensuring accuracy and adherence to quality standards. Your attention to detail and precision will be essential in producing parts that meet our internal customer requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate and maintain machines, such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders, to produce precision parts

• Set up machines according to blueprints, specifications, and technical documents

• Monitor machine operations to ensure accuracy and quality of parts

• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines

• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet customer requirements

• Collaborate with the other team members to optimize production schedules and meet customer demands

YOU MUST HAVE

+ High School Diploma

+ Proven experience as a machinist or similar role

+ 3+ years of experience with machining processes and equipment

+ Strong knowledge of machine operation and maintenance

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents

+ Attention to detail and precision in work
