As a SR Engineering Tech with Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in assisting engineering activities and ensuring the efficient operation of engineering processes. You will work with a team of engineering technicians and with cross-functional teams to optimize engineering efficiency and quality. Your expertise in engineering processes and equipment will contribute to the success of our organization. You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Torrance, CA location on a first-shift work schedule.

Be part of a team that designs and develop test procedures and standards for highly complex products. You will participate in the development and certification of environment test functionality across multiple products and applications. This will enable you to support new products, processes, standards or operational plans within the organization's business strategies, with a direct impact on business results.

The annual base salary for this position is $62,000 – 78,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

Key Responsibilities

+ Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality Perform testing

+ Provide customer support

+ Weekly time reporting

+ Studies and records time, motion, methods, and speed to improve efficiency and establish a standard production rate in performance of maintenance, production, clerical, and other worker operations

+ Daily testing of hydraulic units

+ Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization

MUST HAVE

+ High School Diploma or equivalent

+ 5 + years of experience in engineering or a related field

+ Strong knowledge of engineering processes and equipment

WE VALUE

+ Experience with fluid Power division which tests hydraulic units utilizing jet fuel, hydrazine, and refrigerant

+ Previous testing and troubleshooting experience

+ Hydrazine certification, EPU (Emergency Power Unit) previous testing preferred

+ Have practical experience working with engineering equipment

+ Be able to find effective solutions based on root causes; and apply six sigma procedures

+ Sound technical judgment and opinions

+ Strong communication and people-oriented skills

+ Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events

+ Excellent problem-solving and thoughtful skills
