Northrop Grumman's Human Resources organization is seeking a skilled and dedicated Employee Relations Advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in fostering a fair and respectful workplace by partnering with Human Resources colleagues to address dynamic employee

relations situations. As a member of the Employee Relations Center of Excellence, the ER Advisor provides advice, consultation, and guidance to create sustainable solutions for individual employee matters and organizational challenges.

**This position can be performed as a virtual telecommuter.**

**Responsibilities Include:**

+ Conduct thorough investigations into employee relations matters, providing fair and objective recommendations for resolution.

+ Collaborate with HR partners and management to address workplace issues and concerns with sensitivity and respect.

+ Interpret and apply company policies and procedures, while considering relevant employment laws, to maintain compliance and manage risks, ensuring a fair and inclusive work environment.

+ Provide consultative expertise to stakeholders on corrective actions, employment separations, performance management, conflict resolution, and policies/procedures.

+ Identify trends and root causes of recurring issues, using analytical skills and insights.

+ Partner closely with stakeholders to develop comprehensive solutions and proactive strategies for effectively handing sensitive and complex employee relations matters and addressing organizational trends.

+ Promote proactive and positive employee relations practices across the organization to enhance the overall employee experience, manage risk while emphasizing fairness and inclusivity.

+ Stay informed about changes in employment law and industry best practices to proactively address potential issues and foster a fair and respectful workplace for all.

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor's degree in human resources, industrial/labor relations, business, or related field, and a minimum 10 years of experience in human resources/employee relations.

+ Equivalent experience or education will be considered.

+ Experience conducting investigations and advising on a wide range of employee relations issues, including manager/employee conflicts or complaints, challenging performance, behavioral and conduct issues.

+ Proven track record as a trusted advisor and consultant to business and HR leadership to provide effective advice and consulting on workplace matters.

+ Ability to establish strong, collaborative relationships at all levels and across functions within the organization.

+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on empathy, respect, consultation, and a strategic mindset.

+ Detailed oriented, highly organized, demonstrated judgement and sound decision-making.

+ Strong knowledge of pertinent labor/employment law as well as human resources management principles, practices, and procedures.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Highly analytical thinker and problem solver.

+ Experience with case management and documentation systems.

+ Training in investigation and/or dispute resolution techniques.

+ Labor relations experience.

+ Proven success and enjoy operating in a fast paced/high volume work environment, ability to remain composed under pressure.

+ Strong project and time management skills with ability to multi-task and manage multiple.

+ Previous experience in Aerospace & Defense and/or government contracting.

+ Excellent business acumen.

**Salary Range:** $99,900 - $149,900

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
