**Banner - University Medicine Obesity and Bariatric Surgery Center is actively expanding our MBSAQIP nationally accredited program.** The program started in 2015 and is growing quickly with a focus on expert care in the medical and surgical treatment of obesity for adult and adolescent patients. Our multidisciplinary team offers highly personalized service and state-of-the-art care. The foundation of our program is built on providing both group and individualized patient education. Our team has experience with more than 5,000 bariatric surgical patients.
**Excellent opportunity for a dynamic Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to** join our team of highly trained Bariatric Surgeons at **Banner University Medicine in Phoenix, AZ** . This position will support the comprehensive care and management of the Bariatric patient. Our APP will round on patients in thehospital; see patients in the clinic and provide First-Assist in the OR. Qualified candidates must have the ability to work in a collaborative environment; one that thrives in a highly integrated and innovative setting; and a desire to focus on patient excellence.

**Qualifications:**
+ Board Certification as a Physician Assistantor Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
+ Licensed or eligible to be licensed in the state of AZ
+ Current prescribing privileges including a DEA license for controlled substance
+ Open to all applicants; new graduates and experienced APPs are encouraged to apply
+ ACNP with RNFA certificate (candidates with didactic training complete will be considered)
+ Current BLS & ACLS
+ OR/Procedure experience preferred; experience inGastrointestinal Medicine, Bariatric Surgery and/or Medical Weight Loss preferred
**Position Details:**
+ Mix of Clinic and OR; Clinic 4 days and OR 1 day per week
+ Mon Friday within the hours of 7am to 4pm; option for flexible schedule (4/10 hr. shifts)
+ Provide care from the initial patient point of contact to pre-surgical requirements, and post-op follow-ups
+ No Call
