Jacobs is an established and leading Integrated Water Design-Builder having delivered projects across the United States ranging from $5M to $1.8B over the past 30 years. Our National Water Design-Build (DB) Team is growing our Owner Advisor (OA) services and looking for an OA National Practice Lead. The OA National Practice Lead will work interchangeably with our DB Operations team, responsible for project delivery, our DB Sales team, responsible for strategy and managing DB pursuits, and individual project and program teams serving as OAs.
The OA National Practice Lead will oversee the strategy, growth, and delivery of our Water DB OA services throughout the US. This work will include developing and implementing OA standards and processes, driving revenue growth, developing client relationships, training local project management and water technology staff, and growing a team of geographically based OA specialists.
Key responsibilities shall include:
* Coordination with DB operations and sales staff, and with local project and program management teams
* Defining the vision and direction for our OA services, aligned with our DB strategy and objectives
* Developing and implementing OA growth strategies to expand market share and client base
* Identifying new opportunities and supporting the pursuit of OA projects
* Serving as Senior Technical Lead to support OA delivery, specific to execution of collaborative delivery projects, from delivery model analysis, through procurement of a collaborative delivery partner, to support during execution of CMAR, PDB and DB projects.
* Leading, recruiting, hiring, and developing additional OA staff across the US
* Providing mentorship and coaching to team members, fostering professional growth and technical expertise
* Developing OA processes and tools ensuring quality and industry best practices
* Building strong relationships with key clients at the national level
* Leading client presentations and proposals, demonstrating the value of our OA services
* Staying abreast of Water Collaborative Delivery trends and industry best practices
* Setting revenue targets and monitoring financial performance of our OA services
* Managing budgets and optimizing resource allocation to achieve profitability goals
Here’s What You’ll Need:
* Strong leadership and communication skills, both written and oral
* Demonstrated understanding and deep subject matter expertise in collaborative delivery
* Proven business development and sales acumen, strategic thinking and ability to anticipate market trends
* Client-centric approach and relationship management skills, Owner advisor and management experience, demonstrated ability to develop relationships with clients
* Self-motivated, initiator; demonstrated by a desire to get the job done through whatever challenges arise
* More than 5 years of collaborative delivery experience, with meaningful roles in project execution.
Ideally, You’ll Also Have:
* More than 20 years of engineering or construction project delivery, and owner advisor experience
* More than 10 years of collaborative delivery experience, with meaningful roles in project execution.
* DBIA Certification, WCDA Participation
* Bachelor’s Degree in civil, environmental, chemical, or mechanical engineering and Professional Engineer (PE) License; or
* Bachelor’s Degree in Construction such as Building Science or Construction Management.
