Job Description
The University Development Coordinator, Intermediate coordinates and supports fundraising and engagement initiatives, which will include administrative support, donor cultivation, alumni and donor communications, scholarship management, donor stewardship, fund management, event strategy, and advisory board support that contribute to the overall strategic goals of Advancement | Foundation. This position interacts with a variety of university partners to help scope, plan, develop, and coordinate effective strategies and tactics that support college development administration.
This position will support and coordinate development functions for the following colleges/units:
• Principal Gifts, Strategic Initiatives, Annual Giving, and Corporate and Foundation Relations- reporting to the Director of Annual Giving
The coordinator will ensure compliance with university policies and regulations, identify areas needing improvement, and develop solutions to streamline work and build effectiveness. Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external partners is a critical function of this role. The ideal candidates will be able to anticipate needs and remain organized under pressure. These dynamic, fast-paced positions require the ability to think critically and operate with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Cultivation and Stewardship Coordination - 35%
• Coordinates the development and distribution of communication and stewardship deliverables including, proposals/grants, acknowledgements/thank you letters/notes, Thankview messages, impact statements, scholarship stewardship and reporting, newsletters, etc.
• Coordinates funds/spend downs with donor relations.
• Partners with and helps coordinate scheduling, resource tracking, and planning scholarship and alumni events (including recognition).
• Collaborate with the Director of Annual Giving and college partners on the creation and distribution of college-specific fundraising communications through digital, print, and social media platforms.
• Analyze annual giving campaign donor histories to identify prospects for leadership annual giving and planned giving opportunities.
• Implement stewardship plans to build relationships with new and existing donors, leveraging the use of multi-channel donor engagement tools.
• Provide guidance and support to student groups leading digital giving campaigns.
Administrative Coordination - 30%
• Assists with travel preparations for development officers.
• Works with travel specialists to secure air travel, vehicle rental, and hotel accommodations and prepares travel expense reports.
• Supports budget reconciliation, reimbursements, etc.
• Develops prospect briefs and entry between development officers and donor database.
• Coordinates development officer meetings and appointments with internal and external partners, alumni, donors, and prospective donors.
• Manages and updates donor and alumni program data to ensure accurate and timely information (i.e. volunteer participation, advisory board rosters, prospect management, etc.).
• Establishes, maintains, and updates files, databases, records, and/or other documents; develops and maintains data, and performs routine analyses and calculations in the processing of data for recurring internal reports.
Central Advancement Specific Coordination - 30%
• In partnership with the Alumni Engagement team, supports alumni volunteer programming and partnership with the colleges, tracking alumni volunteer participation, and maintaining advisory board rosters.
Other - 5%
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
• Associate degree,
• 2-4 years of coordination, project management, and report building;
• Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
• Understanding of fundraising principals and processes, and best practices.
• Experience working with constituent databases.

Salary
Salary range begins at $51,085. Annual salary commensurate with candidate's qualifications and related experience.
FLSA Status
This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and therefore will not earn overtime or compensatory time for additional time worked.
