The Data Management and Insights (DMI) team is comprised of core functions focused on designing Wells Fargo’s future data environment. Data Management and Insights (DMI) is transforming the way that Wells Fargo uses and manages data. The work enables Wells Fargo to empower and inform our team members, deliver exceptional experiences for our customers, and meet the elevated expectations of our regulators. The team is responsible for designing the future data environment, defining data governance and oversight, and partnering with technology to operate the data infrastructure for the company. This team also provides next generation analytic insights to drive business strategies and help meet our commitment to satisfy our customers’ financial needs.
**The Role**
**** This executive role is part of the Enterprise Data Management and Governance (EDMG) function that reports up to the Chief Data Officer, is part of DMI, and is responsible for effective and efficient execution of enterprise data management and governance.
The Head of Enterprise Data Issues Management will report to the Head of EDMG and will manage a team of data management professionals providing oversight to the remediation of complex issues, leadership and coordination of issues and corrective actions owned by EDMG, and review and validation of data management and data governance deliverables prior to delivery to Internal Audit or external regulators.
Responsibilities include:
+ Strategy - Define and implement the strategy for the Enterprise Data Issues Management group, inclusive of strategic direction of the group, financial planning, issues management, control and process optimization, resource plan, engagement model, communications plan, and employee engagement.
+ Validation - Define and execute a quality assurance / quality control approach to validate successful completion of data management and governance deliverables prior to delivery to 2nd / 3rd line of defense validation teams and external regulators, including review and validation of remediated data defects, remediation program deliverables and documentation, and required data governance artifacts (as needed).
+ Reg issue management - Provide leadership and oversight to the remediation of enterprise-wide data issues owned within EDMG, including program management, coordination across stakeholder groups, change management, identification, escalation and mitigation of risks, resource strategy, communications and reporting.
+ EDMG owned CAs - Define and execute corrective actions related to data management and governance deliverables owned by EDMG within enterprise-wide remediation programs, inclusive of remediation approach, resource strategy, and success criteria.
+ Issue Management - Manage and oversee portfolio of Issues owned by EDMG.
+ Partner with peers in product management to develop a strategy and document business requirements for tools and capabilities needed to support issues management, remediation and validation activities
+ Support RCSA affirmation process by updating maintaining the remediation and validation portions of the RAU service model, risks and controls.
+ Provide input to regulatory response letters and regulator requests for information for data related exams and inquiries.
+ Provide input to senior executive level materials in support of Head of EDMG and CDAO presentations to the Operating Committee members, management committees, the Board of Directors, and external regulators.
+ Develop and present updates to management committees and regulators on remediation programs, corrective actions, and validation activities.
+ Recruit and retain top talent aligned to the same objectives.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ 8+ years of Data Management, Business Research, Analytics, or Project Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
+ 4+ years of Management experience.
**Desired Qualifications:**
+ Proven experience in data management and data governance for large Financial institutions including management.
+ 5+ years experience in one or more of issues management, change management, program management.
+ 5+ years experience in one or more of risk and control frameworks, audit validation methodologies, validation process design.
+ 5+ years experience in one or more of regulatory relations, regulatory examinations, regulatory issue remediation.
+ 2+ years experience engaging with operating committee members or their direct reports, and management committees.
+ Experience in risk or regulatory reporting.
+ Expertise in negotiation and conflict resolution.
+ Expertise in engaging with Audit functions, serving as a liaison to Audit.
+ Strong risk management, risk identification, escalation and mitigation skills.
+ Developing senior executive level presentations.
+ Executive level presentation and communication skills.
**Pay Range**
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$207,900.00 - $431,900.00
