The anticipated salary range for this role is between $85,000.00 and $170,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualification, experiences, and analysis of current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at time of hire. **SUMMARY:**
We are seeking an initiative-taking, self-directed Web Engineer to build web applications for a Digital Bank. Our Ideal candidate is a front-end developer having experience building web applications using JavaScript frameworks (React). In this role, you will work as engineer in an agile team and collaborate with product owner, designer, and QA (Quality Assurance) to design, build & maintain digital bank websites.
**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Own the responsibility for the full life cycle of web development design, development, unit testing and implementation.
+ Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure proper testing and maintenance.
+ Partner with product, design, and other internal teams to build a performant and user centric website.
+ Embrace and Champion the use of web development best practices.
+ Frontend-Backend integration: Experience collaborating with backend developers to integrate frontend components with server-side APIs, ensuring efficient data flow and communication.
+ Product collaboration: Ability to work closely with product teams to analyze requirements, identify challenges, and provide technical recommendations.
+ JavaScript & Frontend Frameworks: Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and experience with modern frontend frameworks/libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
+ Cross-Browser & Responsive Development: Strong experience in coding for various browsers and devices to ensure consistent user experience.
+ Web Standards & Usability: Good knowledge of web layout principles, usability guidelines, and W3C standards.
+ Security Best Practices: Solid understanding of security principles related to web development.
+ Accessibility Compliance: Ability to ensure the user interface meets WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards and is usable by individuals with impairments.
+ Version Control: Familiarity with Git for version control.
+ Agile Development: Experience working in an Agile environment, including software design, development, and testing.
+ Strong Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities, including the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and effectively
**POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:**
+ Degree or certification in Web Development, Digital Programming, Computer Science, or equivalent experience in a related skillset.
+ 3-4 years of technology experience with at least 2-3 years of experience in Digital/Web development.
+ Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation, the JavaScript object model, Object-Oriented concepts, design patterns, coding standards, and performance improvements.
+ Advanced knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, and related technologies.
+ Experience with frontend frameworks and libraries such as React to build complex user interfaces efficiently and maintainable.
+ Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
**Preferred Skills:**
+ TypeScript: Experience writing in TypeScript – such as creating types, interfaces, enums, and generics.
+ Version Control: Experience using Azure DevOps for release pipeline management.
+ Web Analytics & Integrations: Knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and similar web tracking tools.
+ Experience in Financial Services: Previous experience working in financial services or fintech environments.
+ CI/CD & DevOps Tools: Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
