Summary:
As a member of the Arizona Cardinals Nutrition Services Department, the Cook II, Business Operations is responsible for assisting with the preparation of business and football operations meals during all phases of the year, as well as to provide guidance and instruction to Cook I colleagues.

Primary Job Duties:
The Cook II, Business Operations, will have the daily responsibilities, without limitation, to include the following:

> Prepares ingredients for recipes, and follow recipes accurately and independently demonstrating proper techniques throughout
Create prep and daily inventory lists for the Business Operations Grab and Go
> Prepare and delivers Grab and Go (GNG) items to the Business
> Operations location including but not limited to:
> Wraps, salads, shelf stable snacks, soups, and fruit
> Daily preparation of spa water and iced tea
> Manage the Business Operations coffee machine, including vendor relationship management
> Proficiently use ovens, stoves, grills, kettles, microwaves, fryers, and necessary prep tools (e.g., blender, food processor, mandolin, mixer)
> Provide line support during service, maintaining clear communication with Front of House (FOH) staff to ensure product availability during meals
> Perform line duties for any meal service as required
> Develop and produce daily specialty items as needed
> Maintain clean and organized prep and cook stations to ensure food safety and efficiency
> Follow food safety procedures for serving, rotating, and storing food in coolers, freezers, and dry storage, using a FIFO (First In, First Out) approach, which includes labeling, dating, rotating, and screening products to meet both food safety and organizational standards
> Adhere to guidelines for discarding or returning products that do not meet organizational standards
> Support chefs in presenting and executing new recipes while staying updated on food trends
> Monitor and report low stock items to Culinary Operations Manager
> Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:
> Education: High school diploma or GED (or equivalent work experience) and formal culinary training in all areas of meal preparation, including scratch cooking
> Experience: At least two (2) years of experience as a line cook preferred, with demonstrated experience leading and overseeing service operations
> Previous restaurant and food service operations experience.
> Proficient knife skills, and working with food processors, blenders, and mixers.
> Strong understanding of flavor profiles, seasoning, and recipe execution.
> Knowledge of weights, measurements, volume, and cooking procedures.
> Must be able to stand and/or exert well-paced mobility for extended periods of time.
> Ability to lift food deliveries and equipment up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and assist with setting up Training Camp kitchen.
> Familiar with commercial kitchen equipment.
> Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet high standards.
> Demonstrates professionalism, proper hygiene, and uniform standards.
> Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and prioritize tasks.
> Available for weekend events, off-site, and out-of-state travel
> Excellent communication skills with chefs, nutrition services, and colleagues across the organization.
> Outgoing, goal-oriented, and demonstrates a growth mindset.
> Up to date with required certifications, including a food handler's card.
> Maintains confidentiality and professionalism when interacting with athletes.
> Must complete all pre-employment forms and successfully pass a background check.
