Project Scope:
Push the boundaries of high-speed electronics by analyzing and optimizing signal integrity in digital systems operating at 40GHz+ frequencies. This internship offers exposure to PCB simulations, high-frequency measurements, and advanced signal processing tools. Interns will work alongside experts in signal integrity and circuit design.
What You’ll Do:
Develop methodologies to enhance signal integrity in next-gen devices
Perform high-frequency simulations and measurements
Work with industry-standard tools and leading experts in the field
Key Responsibilities:
Simulation & Modeling: Use ECAD software (Cadence, Ansys HFSS, or ADS) to simulate PCB signal behavior. Analyze crosstalk, ringing/reflection, and channel loss to optimize design.
Testing & Measurement: Conduct S-parameter testing using vector network analyzers (VNAs). Perform eye diagram analysis and evaluate bit error rates and jitter.
Data-Driven Problem Solving: Extract signal integrity metrics such as ISI and BER. Develop innovative solutions to minimize signal degradation.
Impactful Research & Reporting: Publish findings in whitepapers or presentations. Document best practices and propose new testing methodologies.
Ideal Candidates Are:
Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
Experienced with high-frequency simulation tools (HFSS, CST, or ADS)
Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Compensation:
Bachelor’s Level: $22–$24/hr
Master’s Level: $25–$28/hr
PhD Level: $28–$32/hr
