Phoenix Children’s has an immediate opening for our Urgent Care in the EAST VALLEY (5131 E Southern Ave., Mesa, AZ)!!! This is a part time BENEFITTED position, requiring only 24 hours a week. Incumbent will work between the hours of 5 PM - 11 PM, M - F; and rotating weekends, 10 AM- 7 PM! This is a great position for a nurse who wants to work directly with the pediatric population, but doesn’t love those overnight shifts. The weekend requirement still allows you to have breakfast with family/friends, and be home in time for dinner and a movie on a Saturday night! The ideal incumbent will have a minimum of one year critical care experience working in a hospital. This is a fast paced clinic who help families with unexpected medical issues that can be an unexplained fever, a fall on the playground, open wounds, bumps on the head, etc., etc. The clinic does NOT deal with any trauma, as those cases are sent to the main hospital that is properly equipped to handle those immediate situations. We are looking for a nurse who loves the hustle and bustle of a busy clinic environment, is experienced and highly skilled at multitasking, and most importantly - has a passion for children! NO New Grads, please.

This position, in collaboration with the healthcare team, patient, and family, coordinates and promotes patient health utilizing evidence-based practice in the delivery of professional nursing care across the care continuum. This position advocates for the patient and family adhering to nursing and medical plans of care, regulatory standards, and organizational values.
