About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Control Management Specialist within the Commercial Banking Market Coverage & Specialized Industries Business Aligned Control team. This role also involves partnering with business owners to design controls, define effectiveness measures, support implementation, validate post-implementation effectiveness, and evaluate controls based on defined triggers.

In this role, you will:

+ Participate in identifying, assessing, managing, and mitigating current and emerging risk exposures within Control Management functional area

+ Provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies, business processes, and business controls

+ Monitor moderately complex business specific programs and provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies

+ Monitor, measure, evaluate, and report on the impact of decisions and controls to the relevant business group or functional area

+ Provide guidance to business groups on the development, implementation, and monitoring of business specific programs to identify, assess, and mitigate risk

+ Collaborate with relevant business group to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations

Required Qualifications:

+ 4+ years of Risk Management or Control Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

+ Risk & Control Experience – 2+ years of experience designing, monitoring, and remediating risks and controls, including Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA).

+ Root Cause & Remediation – 2+ years of experience identifying risks and controls, performing root cause analysis, developing remediation plans, defining success criteria, and documenting controls.

+ Issue Management: 2+ years of hands-on experience managing the full lifecycle of issues, including identification, tracking, and remediation.

+ Risk Systems Experience: Familiarity with Wells Fargo risk platforms such as the Shared Risk Platform (SHRP), Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), or Control Risk Analysis System.

+ Microsoft Office Proficiency – Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

+ Executive Communication – Proven ability to communicate effectively with senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders in both written and verbal formats.

+ Change Leadership – Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and perform under pressure in complex environments.

+ Accountability & Initiative – Strong sense of ownership with the ability to take initiative, handle high levels of responsibility, and remain accountable for outcomes.

+ Decision-Making & Influence – Ability to influence decisions positively, make sound judgments quickly, and implement effective solutions.

Job Expectations:

+ Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.

+ Hybrid work schedule. Must be able to work from one of the approved job posting locations three (3) days in office & two (2) days remote.
