**Job Title: Millwright Mechanic**

**Job Description**

As a vital member of the maintenance crew, the Millwright Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing plant equipment in an industrial setting. This role requires expertise in electrical work, welding, and instrumentation, aiming to ensure safe and efficient production by promptly responding to changing conditions. The focus is on preventive maintenance and welding.

**Responsibilities**

+ Perform maintenance in all areas of the plant on both scheduled and emergency bases.

+ Conduct mechanical repairs on pumps, valves, and heat exchangers.

+ Carry out building repairs and cleaning tasks.

+ Operate control panels to manage process variables such as flows, temperatures, pressures, vacuum, time, and chemical composition through automatic regulation and remote control.

+ Identify malfunctioning units by observing control instruments and responding to automatic warning signals.

+ Inspect equipment to locate and diagnose issues such as leaks, breakages, and faulty valves.

+ Coordinate maintenance and repair work with the production team.

+ Patrol units to ensure safe and efficient operating conditions.

+ Perform preventive maintenance activities as required.

+ Assist with new installations and other projects as requested by the supervisor.

+ Collaborate with contractors to plan and implement the installation of new equipment or systems.

+ Participate in safety, health, and environmental programs.

+ Engage in programs and procedures to ensure plant cleanliness.

+ Execute other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

**Essential Skills**

+ Mechanical skills, including conveyor systems.

+ Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.

+ Proficiency in welding and electrical maintenance repair.

+ Expertise in preventive maintenance.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ High school diploma required.

+ Three to five years of experience in electrical or instrumentation maintenance and repair.

+ Understanding of plant operational processes and procedures, including routine and emergency start-up and shutdown practices.

+ Familiarity with industrial equipment operations and care.

+ Basic electrical experience.

+ Experience operating forklifts and manlifts.

+ Knowledge of PPE and Fall Protection.

+ Knowledge in Lockout Blockout (Machine Specific).

+ Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with all organizational levels.

+ Ability to write detailed repair reports and communicate effectively verbally.

**Work Environment**

The work environment is an indoor-outdoor facility that can be dusty, dirty, and hot in the summer and colder in the winter. The plant primarily produces cow and dairy cow feed. The new manager is dedicated to enhancing efficiency with a safety-first mindset.

**Job Type & Location**

This is a Permanent position based out of Buckeye, Arizona.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62400.00/yr.
