Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a **Tool Crib Attendant 2** to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in **Palmdale, CA** .
**Tool Crib Attendant job duties involve but are not limited to:**
+ Receives, stores, and issues tools, support equipment, consumables, HAZMAT, and other related items
+ Maintains records of tools issued to employees; takes periodic inventory and requisitions stock as needed; reports damaged, worn out, or missing equipment using computers to enter transactions, validate information and maintain database
+ Cleans, oils, and performs minor repairs on equipment; disposes of surplus or obsolete equipment in accordance with established procedure
+ Ensures that measuring devices are periodically calibrated
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Must have a High School Diploma or GED with 2 years of experience in customer service, tool crib, minor tool repair and/or in an aerospace environment
+ Must be able to lift boxes up to 10 lbs.
+ Must be able to bend, raise arms, and perform physical movement required to handle, lift, and organize tools and equipment
+ Must be able to stand, walk up and down stairs constantly
+ Must be able to work in noisy environment
+ Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
+ Must have basic computer skills (e.g. Microsoft office, email, typing)
+ Must be willing to work any shift, flexible schedule and adaptable to changing work hours, to support operations and work any program
+ Familiar with hand tools, cutting tools and gauge tools
+ Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Security Clearance and Special Program Access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience with using Inventory software
+ Ability to read and interpret technical documents, work instructions, and standard operating procedures
+ Experience operating equipment or other machinery
+ Ability to communicate with vendors for vendor repairs
+ Experience with tool kitting systems, including assembling, issuing, and replenishing kits
+ Ability to receive, store, and issues tools, and measuring devices
+ Maintains records of tools issued to employees
+ Takes periodic inventory and requisitions stock as needed; reports damaged, worn out, or missing equipment using computers to enter transactions
+ Ability to identify troubleshoot report issues related to damaged or worn-out tools
+ Validates information and maintains database
+ Cleans, oils, and performs minor repairs on equipment
+ Dispose of surplus or obsolete equipment in accordance with established procedure
+ Ensures that measuring devices are periodically calibrated
+ Ability to understand tool calibration procedures
+ Basic understanding of safety regulations
+ Knowledge of minor tool repairs or coordination with repair vendors
Salary Range: $45,800.00 - $76,400.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
