CARDIAC ECHO SONOGRAPHER

**Responsibilities**

In keeping with the Dignity Health healthcare philosophy, the Ultrasound Technologist performs cardiovascular procedures at a technically proficient level. Positions and instructs the patient, operates ultrasound equipment and determines the technical factors for ultrasound procedures. Ensures correct marking/labeling of images, provide and confirm proper/adequate documentation of procedures to assist in diagnosis. Technically proficient in a variety of ultrasound procedures. Ability to train staff members to perform procedures requiring independent judgement. Position requires ingenuity and initiative for the diagnosis and therapy of disease.

**Qualifications**

+ Familiar with PAC's systems including Xcellera. and Cerner preferred.

+ Demonstrates knowledge in both general and cross-sectional anatomy and physiology.

+ Must have working knowledge of diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures.

+ Must also know departmental protocols and procedures.

+ Ability to work tactfully and effectively with fellow staff members, physicians and the patient population.

+ Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

+ Self-motivated and able to achieve results through good organizational skills.

+ Ability to work independently and be a functional team member in a team-oriented environment.

+ Current registered or registry eligible (i.e. RDCS and/or RVT), ECE to maintain certification, current BLS CPR card.

$59.69 - $71.53 /hour
