We are looking for a dedicated Patient Care Coordinator to join our team in Chandler, Arizona. In the Patient Care Coordinator role, you will play a vital part in ensuring patients have a positive experience during the registration process, while adhering to organizational policies. The Patient Care Coordinator is a Contract position that requires excellent customer service skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately identify patients and collect comprehensive demographic information.

• Verify insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefits to ensure proper reimbursement.

• Determine patient financial responsibilities and collect payments when applicable.

• Refer patients to financial counseling or specialists for guidance on payment options.

• Provide clear explanations of hospital policies and patient rights to patients and their families.

• Maintain compliance with organizational procedures regarding financial liability resolution.

• Serve as a source of information for patients, addressing questions and concerns related to the registration process.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient registration and satisfaction.

• Utilize knowledge of TRICARE, NIS, and other insurance policies in registration tasks.

• Uphold high standards of customer service throughout all interactions with patients and families.

Requirements • Proven experience in customer service, preferably within a healthcare setting.

• Familiarity with patient registration processes and hospital procedures.

• Strong understanding of insurance verification and benefit eligibility.

• Ability to handle financial counseling and explain patient financial responsibilities.

• Knowledge of TRICARE, NIS, and other insurance policies.

• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and families.

• Attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and documentation.
